Brasstown Bald Pictures
EEU, WCU, and I visited Brasstown Bald on January 26, 2003. It was part of the "Deep Feeze" trip. When we arrived at the 2 1/2 mile access road to the summit parking lot, we were surprised, but undaunted that that the access road was closed due to "Ice on Road." We hiked the access road and proceeded to the summit.
The views from the summit were spectacular. When we started our climb, there were clouds in the sky, but by the time we reached the summit it was sunny and a balmy 23 degrees.
