WCU, Tom, and I summited Mount Sunflower twice within a twelve hour period.  EEU decided one visit was enough.  We were at Mount Sunflower just before dusk on August 3, 2005 and returned the next morning on August 4, 2005.  WCU and I had intended on svaing Mount Sunflower for number 50, but after our unsuccessful Gannett summit, we decided to add Mount Sunflower to the list a bit earlier.

The Jones and Harold families who own the highpoint do a magnificent job maintaining this charming highpoint.  Many highpointers will tell you that Mount Sunflower gets their vote for favorite highpoint.  They have actually had a wedding at the highpoint, wherein one the the property owners gave away the bride.  Enjoy the photos.
