Lodging
The Wheeler Peak trailhead is at the Taos Valley Ski Resort. There are numerous condos within a mile of the trailhead, and there are a few hotels or inns within a few miles at the resort or in Taos Ski Village. The town of Taos (home to Sam McCloud) is about fifteen miles from the trailhead. Here is a sampling of some of the lodging. Remember, Taos Ski Valley is a ski resort town. Room rates are significantly higher during ski season.
