Mount Hood is a dangerous mountain, as are all technical climbs.  Despite being the second most climbed mountain in the world, (Mount Fuji, Japan is number one) people die on this mountain.  Do not underestimate this climb.  Click here for video of the day three climbers, including one highpointer, died on Mount Hood and a rescue helicopter crashed.  Crash video.
