Sassafras
Mountain -- October 26, 2003
Bill Urbanski (WCU), Ed Urbanski (EEU),
and I went to Sassafras Mountain on October 26, 2003. We had beautiful
weather the day before on our visits to Mount Rogers and Black Mountain, but
after staring the day on a very foggy Clingmans Dome, the weather didn't improve
much.
Sassafras is
an easy walk from a parking lot about 50 vertical and about 300 horizontal away.
There is no view from the wooded summit.
