Single Visit
The entrance fee is $10.00 per vehicle. It covers all persons in a single,
noncommercial vehicle (including motorcycles) and is valid for seven calendar
days. The individual entry fee for pedestrians, bicyclists or non-commercial bus
passengers is $5.00 each. There is no individual fee charged for persons with a
disability, persons with a valid pass or persons 16 years of age or younger.
Annual Pass
An Annual Pass to Mount Rainier National Park is available at all entrance
stations for $30.00. This pass admits the permit holder and all accompanying
passengers in a single, private, noncommercial vehicle to the park. It is valid
for 12 months from date of purchase and covers entry fees only. Where entry is
not by private car, the Annual Pass admits the permit holder, spouse, children
and parents. It also covers entrance fees for Fort Vancouver National Historic
Site, Fort Clatsop National Memorial, and Whitman Mission National Historic

National Parks Pass
The National Parks Pass is available at all entrance stations for $50.00. It
can also be purchased online at
www.nationalparks.org or by calling 1-888-GO-PARKS. This passport permits
entry for all persons in a single, private, noncommercial vehicle to all
National Park Service areas that charge an entrance fee. Where entry is not by
private car, the passport admits the permit holder, spouse, children and
parents. It is valid for 12 months from date first used and covers entry fees
only. For an additional $15, you may purchase a Golden Eagle Hologram sticker
which expands your National Parks Pass to cover entrance fees to other federally
managed areas such as Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument (managed by
the U.S. Forest Service).
Golden Age Passport
The Golden Age Passport is available to persons who are at least 62 years of
age and citizens or permanent residents of the United States, for a one time
charge of $10. This lifetime pass is available at park entrance stations or the
administrative headquarters. It permits entry for the passport holder and all
accompanying persons in a single, private noncommercial vehicle. Where entry is
not by private car, the passport admits the permit holder, spouse, children and
parents. It also provides for a 50% discount on camping fees for drive-in
campgrounds.
Golden Access Passport
The Golden Access Passport is available without charge to persons who are
blind or permanently disabled and are citizens or permanent residents of the
United States. The lifetime passport may be obtained at any visitor center
throughout the park or the administrative headquarters. It permits entry for the
passport holder and all accompanying persons in a single, private, noncommercial
vehicle. Where entry is not by private car, the passport admits the permit
holder, spouse, children and parents. A Golden Access Passport also provides a
50% discount on camping fees for drive-in campgrounds.
Family Camping
A fee of $10 - $15 is charged per night for
camping in the auto
campgrounds in the park. Reservations are required for Cougar Rock and
Ohanapecosh Campgrounds between late June and Labor Day. At other times
campsites are first come, first served. To make reservations for Cougar Rock or
Ohanapecosh, call 1-800-365-CAMP or reserve online at
http://reservations.nps.gov up to five
months in advance.

Climbing Permits and Fees
Fees charged for climbing Mount Rainier are used for climber safety and
education, upper mountain human waste management, and program administration.

Groups from qualified educational institutions are eligible for a fee waiver
