Mount Rainier --- July 19 -
July 21, 2004
On Monday, July 19,
2004, at approximately 12:45 pm, EEU, WCU, and I departed the Paradise Inn at
5400 MSL and began our journey towards the summit of Mount Rainier. Our
plan was to climb to Camp Muir on day one, move to Ingraham Flats on day two,
and summit on day three.
The beginning of the
climb was sunny, although some clouds hung around the summit of the mountain.
The weather turned foggy as we progressed up to Camp Muir, but cleared when we
arrived at 6:00pm. The fog we ventured through to Camp Muir was the last
we would see on our climb. The rest of the climb, from Camp Muir to the
summit was greeted by clear skies and warm temparatures.
Here are some of the
pictures we took along the way.
