Driving Directions to Mount Sunflower

    Mount Sunflower is located about 20 miles due South of Exit 1 on Interstate 70 or about 10 miles due North of US 40.

Directions from Interstate 70

    Take Exit 1 from Interstate 70 in Kansas.  Take Road 3, 13.5 miles due South.  At that point, the road forks.  Take the left fork due East for about 0.4 miles.  This road is on the county line of Weskan and McPherson counties.  Bear to the right and turn due South on Road WA S3.  Follow this road for 9.0 miles due South.  Take a right turn and head due West on an unnamed road for 0.7 miles.  There is a sign for Mount Sunflower at this intersection.  Make a right turn and cross over a cattle guard.  Head due North for about 0.1 miles in the field.  Park your car and enjoy the highpoint.

Directions from US 40

    Take Road WA S-1 due North 11.0 miles from the intersection of US 40 at the Kansas/Colorado border.  Make a right hand turn onto the unnamed road and travel 0.1 miles to the entrance to a field.  Make a left turn and cross over a cattle guard.  Head due North for about 0.1 miles in the field.  Park your car and enjoy the highpoint.
